Dokki Community Rules
Dokki has a unique virtual economy system. Most community actions use the mushrooms you own.
This is an experimental game mechanic. Mushrooms cannot be exchanged for any real-world currency.
This document explains how the system works.
1. Starting Balance
After registration, each account receives an initial balance of 100 mushrooms.
You can view your mushroom balance and get more mushrooms in the Mushroom Center.
2. Creating Posts
Creating a new topic costs at least 1 mushroom.
Longer content costs more mushrooms.
Dokki does not encourage extremely long posts that require several screens to finish reading. If something can be explained clearly and concisely, please avoid sending unnecessarily long content.
3. Replies
Each reply costs at least 1 mushroom. Longer replies cost more mushrooms. Mushrooms spent on a reply are transferred to the topic creator. If you reply to your own topic, no mushroom transfer happens; only the cost is deducted.
4. Feeding
If you see a topic or reply you especially like on Dokki, you can tap Feed.
The creator of that topic or reply will receive those mushrooms.
5. Other Ways to Get Mushrooms
There are other hidden ways to get mushrooms in the Dokki community. You will discover them as you explore.
If someone deliberately creates meaningless or inflammatory content to try to get mushrooms, administrators may reduce the account's weight. After weight reduction, depending on the reduction value:
- Creating posts and replies will cost more mushrooms.
- The account's topics will not be recommended.
6. Clearly Prohibited Content
1. Illegal Content Is Prohibited
Do not publish speech or works involving illegal or non-compliant content, including pornography or suspected sexual abuse or exploitation of minors.
2. Do Not Publish Meaningless Content
Do not publish meaningless content, including but not limited to spam posts, filler comments, or low-effort replies such as "first", "sofa", or "I do not understand but it sounds impressive". Such content may be treated as a rules violation and hidden. Serious cases may lead to account blocking.
3. How to Speak Well
We hope to build and encourage a culture of speaking respectfully on Dokki.
- Describe facts as objectively as possible instead of only stating personal opinions.
- If you want to disagree, respond to the core issue and avoid wasting time on side points.
- Do not discuss national political issues on Dokki.
- If what you want to say is meant to hurt someone, please do not say it. If you suspect you may want to delete it in the future, it is better not to post it now.
- In a public discussion space, focus on what constructive value you can add instead of only expressing personal feelings.
For example, when people are discussing something you do not understand, there is no need to reply with "I do not understand but it sounds impressive".
Think of how positive characters in movies speak: they explain things clearly, without sneering, mocking, or rhetorical attacks. They simply speak well.
7. What Are Mushrooms, Really?
The original design of this system is a metaphor for time.
Everything you do here consumes your time. If something receives no meaningful response after you finish it, it can feel like wasted effort. If someone keeps doing meaningless things, they are in effect wasting their own time.
