Dokki is a location-based nearby-people social app provided by Hangzhou Yibang Technology Co., Ltd. ("we", "us", or the "personal information processor"). We understand the importance of personal information and will take reasonable and practicable security measures to protect it according to applicable laws and regulations, including the Personal Information Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, the Data Security Law, and the Cybersecurity Law.

This policy applies to the Dokki app and related services (collectively, "Dokki" or the "service").

This policy does not apply to services provided by other third parties, such as third-party SDKs, third-party payment services, or third-party web pages, nor does it apply to products or services that have separate privacy policies. When you use third-party services, please read their privacy policies separately.

Before using Dokki, please carefully read and understand this policy, especially terms involving sensitive personal information, third-party sharing and SDKs, and your rights. By starting or continuing to use Dokki, you confirm that you understand and agree to this policy.

1. How We Collect and Use Personal Information

Personal information means information recorded electronically or otherwise that relates to an identified or identifiable natural person, excluding anonymized information. Sensitive personal information means personal information that, once leaked or illegally used, may easily harm a person's dignity or personal or property safety, including biometric information, precise location information, and communication content.

We describe below the types of information we collect, purposes, processing methods, and permission controls based on Dokki's actual functions.

You understand and agree that:

  1. Different users may use different product functions, so the types and scope of personal information collected may differ. Please refer to the specific product function actually used.
  2. We may use information collected through one function for another service where there is a direct or reasonable relationship with the original purpose, such as showing content, providing security prompts, displaying ads, or providing more personalized services. If use exceeds the original purpose or reasonable relationship, we will notify you again and obtain your explicit consent before use.
  3. To improve products and services, we may introduce new or optimized functions that require new personal information or changes to processing purpose or method. We will explain the collection purpose, scope, and use by updating this policy, popups, page prompts, or other methods, and provide an option for consent where required.

1.1 Account Registration, Login, and Authentication

When you register, log in, or verify identity, we may collect your phone number, verification code, account identifier, device identifier, login records, and necessary risk-control information. This information is used to create accounts, complete login, verify identity, protect account security, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

If you use carrier one-tap login or third-party authentication, the relevant carrier or third party may process information according to its own rules shown on the authentication page.

1.2 Profile and Display

When you create or edit your profile, we may collect information you submit, such as nickname, avatar, gender or self-description, birthday or age, height, occupation, school, hometown, voice introduction, signature, photos, and other profile fields. This information is used for profile display, matching, social interaction, and account management.

You may choose what profile information to provide except where necessary for core service or legal compliance. Public profile information may be viewed, saved, or forwarded by other users, so please provide it carefully.

1.3 Location-Based Nearby Features

Dokki provides nearby people, nearby posts, distance display, and related social functions based on location. After you authorize location permission, we may collect approximate or precise location information for distance calculation, nearby display, anti-abuse, security risk control, and improving service quality.

Precise location information may be sensitive personal information. You may turn off location permission in system settings or disable nearby display or visibility features in the app. After disabling, nearby functions may not be available, but other basic functions may still work.

1.4 Avatar, Image Upload, Cropping, and Content Safety

When you upload avatars, profile photos, post images, or other media, we may process image or video files, cropping data, upload records, and content safety review results. Images may contain sensitive personal information such as facial features or other identifiable information.

We use this information to complete upload and display, perform moderation and safety review, prevent illegal or harmful content, and maintain platform order.

1.5 Posts, Interactions, and Messaging

When you publish posts, comments, likes, feeds, reports, private messages, group messages, or other interactions, we may collect the content you submit, interaction records, recipient or sender identifiers, timestamps, read status, and related logs.

This information is used to provide communication and interaction functions, display content, process reports and disputes, detect spam or abuse, and protect platform security. Please note that content shared with others may be saved, screenshotted, or forwarded by recipients.

1.6 Device Information and Logs

To ensure secure and stable operation, we may collect device model, operating system, app version, device identifier, network type, IP address, language settings, crash logs, operation logs, browsing and interaction records, and security risk signals.

This information is used for login security, anti-fraud, troubleshooting, product analytics, service optimization, and compliance.

We may also process clipboard information only in specific scenarios, such as identifying a certain format of link or code. We will not read or upload private clipboard content unrelated to the function.

1.7 Customer Service and Dispute Handling

When you contact customer service, submit feedback, report users, appeal decisions, or handle disputes, we may collect your contact information, account information, submitted descriptions, screenshots, order information, communication records, and other materials needed to handle the issue.

This information is used to verify identity, locate problems, respond to requests, handle complaints, protect rights, and keep necessary records.

1.8 Permission Calls

1.9 Exceptions to Consent

Under applicable laws, we may process personal information without separate consent in circumstances such as:

  1. necessary to perform legal obligations;
  2. related to national security or defense security;
  3. related to public security, public health, or major public interests;
  4. related to criminal investigation, prosecution, trial, or enforcement of judgments;
  5. necessary to protect life, health, or property safety in emergencies where consent is difficult to obtain;
  6. information disclosed by you to the public;
  7. information collected from lawful public disclosures;
  8. necessary to enter into or perform a contract at your request;
  9. necessary to maintain safe and stable operation of products or services;
  10. necessary for lawful news reporting, public interest research, or other circumstances provided by law.

2. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We may use cookies, local storage, device identifiers, and similar technologies to remember login state, language and theme preferences, improve service experience, perform security protection, analyze usage, and support necessary functions.

You may manage cookies or local storage through browser or device settings. Disabling them may affect some functions or service experience.

3. Sharing, Transfer, and Public Disclosure

We understand the legal responsibility involved in sharing, transferring, and publicly disclosing personal information. We will do so only within the scope described in this policy.

Sharing

We may share personal information:

  1. with your explicit consent;
  2. according to laws, litigation, dispute resolution, or lawful requests from administrative or judicial authorities;
  3. with affiliates, if any, to provide unified account systems, customer support, or security risk control, subject to the purposes described in this policy;
  4. with authorized partners who provide services or perform functions for us, only for lawful, legitimate, necessary, specific, and clear purposes.

Authorized partners may include:

  • analytics and crash diagnosis providers;
  • advertising and marketing partners;
  • map and location service providers;
  • payment service providers;
  • push notification providers;
  • cloud, storage, security, and content moderation providers.

We require authorized partners to process information according to our instructions, this policy, and applicable law, and not to use information for unrelated purposes.

Third-Party SDKs

To provide functions such as advertising, analytics, crash diagnosis, maps, payment, and push notifications, Dokki may integrate third-party SDKs, including but not limited to:

Transfer

We may transfer personal information:

  1. with your explicit consent;
  2. in connection with merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or similar transaction. If personal information is transferred, we will require the new holder to continue to comply with this policy, or require it to seek your consent again.

Public Disclosure

We may publicly disclose personal information:

  1. with your explicit consent or based on your active choice;
  2. where you violate laws, regulations, or Dokki rules and disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect Dokki, users, affiliates, or the public, subject to legal requirements.

Exceptions

Prior consent may not be required for sharing, transfer, or disclosure where laws provide exceptions, such as legal obligations, public security, criminal justice, emergency protection of life or property, information disclosed by you, or information lawfully disclosed to the public.

4. How We Protect Personal Information

We strive to provide reasonable security for personal information and prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, leakage, damage, or loss. We may use encryption, anonymization, access controls, security audits, staff training, and other measures.

We build data security management systems around the data lifecycle and limit access to personal information to authorized personnel who need it for their duties. If a personal information security incident occurs, we will activate emergency plans, prevent expansion of harm, report to regulators where required, and notify users by push notice, announcement, or other appropriate methods.

The internet is not absolutely secure. Please use complex passwords, keep your account safe, and be cautious when sharing personal information through public posts, groups, chats, or other visible spaces.

5. How You Manage Personal Information

You may access, correct, supplement, copy, delete, or manage certain personal information through the app, such as account settings, profile editing, post management, privacy settings, and account security settings.

You may also:

  • request access to personal information not available through self-service paths;
  • request deletion where our processing violates law, lacks consent, breaches agreement, is no longer necessary, or the service is terminated;
  • change or withdraw consent through device permissions, app settings, or customer service;
  • request account cancellation through account security settings;
  • request explanation or appeal where automated decision-making significantly affects your rights.

To protect security, we may ask you to verify identity before processing requests. We will respond within a reasonable period, generally no more than 15 working days where applicable.

We may refuse requests that are repeatedly made without reason, require excessive technical means, threaten others' rights, are impractical, involve trade secrets, or fall within legal exceptions such as national security, public security, criminal justice, or serious harm to lawful rights.

6. Minors

Dokki is intended for adults aged 18 or above. If you are under 18, please do not register or use Dokki.

We do not knowingly collect minors' personal information, especially information of children under 14. If we discover that we have collected minors' personal information, we will delete or anonymize it as soon as legally required. If continued processing is necessary, we will obtain guardian consent according to law.

7. Storage of Personal Information

Personal information collected and generated during our operations in the People's Republic of China is generally stored within China. If cross-border transfer becomes necessary in the future, we will comply with legal requirements such as security assessment, certification, standard contracts, notice, and necessary consent.

We retain personal information for the shortest period necessary to achieve processing purposes:

  • account and profile information: during account existence, and generally no more than 6 months after cancellation unless law requires otherwise;
  • logs and security audit information: for a reasonable period to ensure security and troubleshoot, usually no more than 6 months unless law requires otherwise;
  • user-published content: handled according to law after deletion or account cancellation.

After the retention period expires, we will delete or anonymize personal information according to applicable law.

If our products or services stop operating, we will notify you by push notice, announcement, or other methods and delete or anonymize personal information within a reasonable period.

8. Policy Updates

This privacy policy may change.

Without your explicit consent, we will not reduce your rights under this policy. For material changes, we will provide prominent notice, including announcements or popups where appropriate.

Material changes include but are not limited to:

  1. major changes in service model, processing purposes, types of personal information, or use methods;
  2. major changes in ownership or control, such as mergers or reorganizations;
  3. major changes in sharing, transfer, or public disclosure recipients;
  4. major changes in your rights or how to exercise them;
  5. changes to the responsible department, contact method, or complaint channel for personal information protection;
  6. personal information security impact assessments showing high risk.

We may archive older versions of this policy for your review.
